To welcome Terri and Amanda to Bountiful, the kids and I made some signs. The kids painted big poster boards on the back porch that morning and we staked those up in the yard. My signs were reminiscent of the old Burma Shave campaigns, which I am an avid fan of. Back in the day Burma Shave started placing these signs as an advertising campaign for their shaving cream and they became hugely popular. They would place a series of signs usually six in sequential order set a ways apart so that each sign could be read and then the car full of people waited anxiously for the next.
Imagine the glee of weary travelers upon spotting the first! They were very clever and funny and the sixth sign was always the Burma-Shave name. I have an entire book of every one ever written and just love them. Slow down, Pa! They also did several as safe driving campaigns which served as excellent advertising for them as well. Oh, back to my signs. You see, Terri is from Georgia and she has been missing her home and her family there something fierce. I was so excited for her to be back she went on to visit family in Georgia as well so I made these little signs for her and had them going up the walkway to the front door when she arrived.
I love lemon bars. I also think we have the same measuring cups. Great minds think and shop alike!! Totally with ya on the Dollar general thing!https://naverdewopa.gq/3752-wie-erkenne-ich.php

We have a Dollar General Market though and I just love that place! Like a Super Wal Mart, only you get out faster! Ya know why? Cause you is my Sistah! Honestly, I wish you were my blood sister but as it turns out, you are my sister of the heart, which is just as good if not better. I thank God for you, your friendship, your love and your pestering… oh yeah, and not laughing when I tell you my latest cooking mistake… at least not laughing to ME! You know I love ya, Bill.

You have the same name, anyway. Thank you for everything, absolutely everything. Only you know how much that entails! Bless your heart! Love ya, Christy. Hey there my little sweet potato! Happy Anniversary Christy! The video was awesome!! Great job to Terri and Bill as well.
Wishing you many more anniversaries!! We, the adults and kids, had a ball filming, eating, and planning. The out-takes woulda been amusing too, methinks. What a wonderful, warm Southern Lady that Christy is!! Puu-leeeze make these lemon bars, right away, and share some with somebody! Hope to meet you one day SP mtg.
Best Wishes on your first anniversary and many , many more are wished for you and yours. It has been a remarkable year for you and Bountiful is the icing on your cake. I enjoyed the video but have to say that I was just a bit surprised at your voice. As I read your site I am always mentally giving you a very heavy southern accent. Bill Gent came through with a lovely rendition of the anniversary song. I am going to go check his blog and volunteer to be another sister of the heart. Which is fine — if you are a man. I was born and raised in Alabama by parents and grandparents who were born and raised in Alabama so I figure thats about as authentic as it gets!
Most actors and actresses doing a Southern accent end up with what to us is a humorous parody, even though they think it sounds pretty good. Why yayus, we kin all sound lahk Julia Roberts in Steeyull Magnoyliyahs! I can say several things so far that I think are pretty on the spot! Oh dear-my comment was long and I still forgot to tell you that I remeber Burma shave signs in my area too and as kids we thought they were great fun.
It was a very clever ad campaign. Love the video.. I cannot tell you how warm your comment made me feel. You are so good to me. Sure would be a welcome treat! Love you, too! Gratefully, Christy P. Its so nice to feel loved! Ok girl, your first video, was a success. Good job. And what better recipe to use than those delicious Lemon Bars. When Terri went to take her bite, I think I bit along with her. Have a great day!
Trixie……you have NO idea how delicious that first bite was……. I gotta go sit down now. Great video! Happy anniversary my dear, and keep up the amazing work! You have a long line of fans who are so proud of you!! Hey Lindsay!!! I always love seeing that pic of you. I sent the link to your site to everyone in my family. I look so forward to your newsletters — not only for the recipes but also for the clever way you write them — always so funny!
I just started a batch of these lemon bars and will be enjoying them for desert this evening after dinner — if they last that long. My family thanks you for all of your wonderful recipes!
